SharePoint

Microsoft SharePoint is the University's main intranet platform. It's a cloud-based platform so you can access with a web browser.

We recommend SharePoint because:

  • it's easy to create pages

  • you can choose from pre-existing page templates

  • you can store up to 1 TB of files and documents

Communication sites

There are several types of SharePoint sites including Teams sites and Communication sites.

Use a SharePoint Communication site for your intranet.

Communication sites can either be open to all users with a University account or restricted to a group of users. 

Only a few of the people with permission to view the site will have permission to edit it.
